Obesity is a complex problem with complex solutions.  Everyone has a role to play in improving the health of our community.  Some ideas:

What Can I Do? For myself…

I can eat mindfully.

I can ride my bike to work.

I can get enough sleep.

I can get health tips and how-to’s from HealthyU.

What Can I Do? For my family…

I can try a new, healthy recipe the whole family will love.

We can set and track our goals as a family.

I can be sure we all know our “numbers”.

I can ensure our home is a healthy place.

We can utilize the local walking and biking trails.

What Can I Do? At Work and School…

I can manage my stress level.

I can join the wellness committee.

I can start a walking school bus at my child’s school.

I can bring fruits and veggies for the break room or classroom.

What Can I Do? For my community…

I can become a Bicycle Ambassador.

I can serve on a local board or commission - Loveland or Fort Collins

I can advocate for improvements to the school meal program.

I can assess the “walkability” and “bikeability” of my neighborhood.
